Lowers close to the floor to reduce falls and injury risk
Description
The Opera Classic Low profiling bed has been designed to greatly reduce the risk of impact injury from falls as it can be lowered to 22cm from the floor. The low height also makes it easier to swing legs onto the bed. The profiling mattress platform allows the user to adjust their back and leg rests, enabling users with the ability to sit up in their beds or raise their knees, legs and feet at the push of a button. The bed has a Trendelenburg function enabling the whole bed to tilt forwards or backwards. This is beneficial for users with respiritory conditions and also improves blood flow.
The Classic Low accommodates mattresses of up to 8" in depth while remaining fully compliant with bed rail regulations. This eliminates the need for extension height side rails and additional risk assessments, should the user require a deep alternating air mattress.
An easy-to-operate handset is used to control the bed. It has a locking feature that enables the operator to disable all or just Trendelenburg functions where there are safety concerns with the user.
The Classic Low is available in three wood colours with unenclosed or enclosed head/footboards. Upholstered panels in the bed ends are available to give the bed a more homely appearance. Side rails can be added if required.
