Description
The Stabilo Confortable Plus Duo is a complex posture cushion which combines a corset back with a seat. Once shaped, it can be moved between a wheelchair, armchair or sofa. It can also be used to improve stability and safety when travelling by car. The cushion can stabilise the whole body with extended supports that go around the user's trunk and fasten with Velcro. The cushion forms an anatomically-fitted corset and is intended for users with cerebral palsy (spastic quadriplegia) with low muscle tone in the trunk. It is also suitable for users with severe athetosis. A Velcro neoprene (thoracic) strap is included.
The Stabilostablising system works using vacuum preserving of a modelled shape. A special pump helps to deflate the cushion, allowing it to harden into the required shape. The shape and hardness can be changed very easily. A hand pump is included with this cushion.
