Energy efficient propelling and greater grip
Description
Carbolife handrims are designed for energy-efficient propelling and increased grip. The innovative shape of the rim enables you to gain controlled, low-effort grip while stabilising your wrist.
Wheelchair users with small hands should use the small CURVE handrim. If you have average-sized or larger hands we recommend choosing the larger CURVE L handrim.

If you are using your Carbolife Handrims with Loopwheels, select '6 Rivet Nuts' as the mount type.

Curve
Ideally suited for wheelchair users with complete hand function and those with petite hands.
Curve L
The Curve L is wider than the standard Curve and offers an increased grip area - ideal if you have average to large sized hands.
Curve Grip
Ideally suited for wheelchair users with tetraplegia with tricep function and users with full hand function, but reduced hand strength. These handrims are larger in profile offering more gripping surface and requiring less effort to propel the wheelchair. The durable anti-slip coating also ensures a safer ride when steering. Pressure is also re-distributed reducing friction/heat when braking.
Curve Grip L
The Curve Grip L is wider than the standard Curve Grip and offers an increased grip area - ideal if you have average to large sized hands.
Gekko
The Gekko features an integrated rubber strip which provides extra grip and comfort. Ideally suited for wheelchair users with complete hand function or reduced hand strength. This lightweight handrim is designed for comfort and supreme grip, with an anodised surface to help reduce the build-up of heat.
Quadro
Designed with the biomechanics of tetraplegics with no triceps function in mind, the profile of the Quadro provides a considerably larger gripping surface than a conventional handrim. Featuring an extremely robust anti-slip coating, it offers you excellent grip for efficient propulsion as well as maximum control during braking and when correcting the direction of travel.
