Description
The FreeWheel is a lightweight, rugged clamp-on wheel that quickly and easily attaches to the footrest of your existing wheelchair, lifting the front castors off the ground and allowing you to tackle terrain that would previously have been impossible.
The Freewheel's large diameter wheel easily coasts over ground that smaller standard castors would get stuck in, and it's position out in front of the footplate makes the chair extremely stable.
The FreeWheel's patented design uses a detent mechanism that allows the front wheel to self-straighten when moving forwards, but allows for quick and easy handling when a little turning pressure is applied by the user.
Built from strong, aircraft grade aluminium, the FreeWheel is designed to fit securely on most rigid manual wheelchairs. The Freewheel may also be mounted to folding manual wheelchairs with the help of the optional side tube adapter.
The FreeWheel can be removed in seconds and features a special attachment that locks onto the back of the wheelchair seat and securely holds the Freewheel in place when it is not in use. This convenient design makes it easy to take the Freewheel with you wherever you go.
